Lara’s Ark is run by, yes you guessed it, Lara.
Animal loving Lara Woodall from Sawbridgeworth.

With diplomas in Canine Communication, Animal Assisted Therapy, a Certificate in Pet First Aid, and a history of owning pets of all kinds, if you have a pet in Sawbridgeworth or the surrounding area, Lara is perfectly placed to take care of them. She’s fully DBS-checked and insured too.

Lara’s own current menagerie includes a yellow-sided green-cheeked conure parrot called Skittles, two guinea pigs called Marble and Emily, a 'skinny pig' called Winnie, and a wonderful adopted, ex-racing greyhound called Willow. Oh, and two young girls - do they count?

If you recognise Willow there’s a chance you’ve seen her out and about as a certified therapy dog (with Lara’s help.) Together they go into hospitals, care homes and schools where Willow’s calming ways do little wonders for peoples’ mental health and happiness. Before having children Lara and her husband ventured off into the Ecuadorian cloud forest to volunteer at an animal rescue centre. There they were able to help clean, feed and work on rehabilitating the huge variety of exotic animals rescued by the charity. From there they went to the Galapagos to take in the fragile, indescribable natural spectacle. Lara was in her element. Let’s just say, Lara’s love for animals, understanding of their needs, and of their importance in your life, is strong.
